Cherry Night Smoothie
This healthy smoothie contains pumpkin seeds which are very high in L-tryptophan as well as cherries which are one of the highest natural sources of natural melatonin. Dark chocolate contains natural seratonin to help you relax. Cherries also have a natural sweetness and a low glycemic index which helps keep blood sugar intact with the protein powder. Something too sweet before bed can cause you to wake up in the middle of the night due to low blood sugar caused by insulin rebound from the sugar. To make sure you sleep well only use the sweetness of the cherries for this smoothie.
Ingredients
½ cup frozen cherries
¼ cup pumpkin seeds
½ cup almond milk
1 oz dark chocolate
1 scoop protein powder
In a blender, blend all ingredients until smooth.
